Team Leader – would ewe like to make a positive impact?

This is a fantastic role for an exceptional and experienced practitioner looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and growth of a successful nursery and out of school club in West Lothian.
You will be progressive in your approach to childcare, be incredibly positive in your outlook, have excellent people management skills with a real ability to build a strong team and guide them to achieve excellence.
You will be responsible for ensuring our days run smoothly, our team members are supported and our children are offered the best opportunities possible.   Full details are laid out in the job description.


• To achieve and maintain our high standards of care
• To offer innovative play and learning opportunities across the setting in line with the principles of Building the Ambition
• To effectively lead staff teams on the floor and liaise with the other team leader and their team so as to ensure our spaces are used as a whole and children are planned for on a daily basis
• To lead on all planning and evaluation
• To ensure that your team members are supported to carry out their roles
• To ensure that all spaces are safe, clean and tidy, risk assessments are in place
• To ensure that all team members are supported in achieving their own potential

• To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times


You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
• Minimum SVQ Level 4 or equivalent
• 2 years’ practitioner experience
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of all curriculums, building the ambition and self-evaluation frameworks
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Knowledge of Care Standards
• Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
• Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
• PVG membership
• SSSC registration
